everything is broken

well, not everything....just my toe. i think. i'm not really sure, since i've never had a broken toe before and therefore have no idea what it's supposed to feel like. (i mean, i know how my toe is supposed to feel, in its natural, unbroken state...which is most definitely not the way it feels right now.)

as you can see, nothing looks wrong...i mean, there aren't any bones sticking out at weird angles, there hasn't been any blood shed, all of my toes are present and accounted for.....

...so why does it feel like a horse stepped on it? (not a shetland pony, mind you- we're talking a freaking budweiser clydesdale here.) i'm a klutzy girl- i freely admit it- but i should think i'd be able to remember what caused an injury like this.

AND that picture could double as a HNT, couldn't it?? Hahaha. Sorry about your toe, and apparently your job......

i thought about using it on the photo blog, but i'm hoping to come up with something better to represent today's adventures. (well, as soon as i figure out how to work something adventurous into my schedule, that is.)

official word on my toe is that it's probably just jammed, since i can put weight on it without screaming. i'll get around to taping it sooner or later.

there are alot of blogging accidents out there that go unreported or even unoticed for that matter due to the extreme adreniline rush that comes with blogging. often times a blogger doesnt realize theyve actually been injured until hours after they've stepped away from the monitor. and you may touch me again (im not sure exactly where that came from) or get within close proximity of me for that matter, only AFTER you get this clutzy thing figured out.

crap- you mean to tell me i need to ask about some sort of "blogger's clause" when figuring out my new health insurance? will that cost extra?

I once ran my pinky toe into the leg of a chair... OUCH! I didn't dare look down on my foot for a few minutes for fear that the toe had been severed... It wasn't. It was still there. But, boy, did it hurt!
I feel your pain. Actually, I've felt your pain.

Heh, Funny how the stuff that hurts the worst never shows... That counts for damage on cars too, looks like just a few scratches, and then the TOTAL it ! (that just happened to me)

lab boy: since i generally walk around barefoot at home, my specialty seems to be walking into things and getting nailed between the toes- usually on corners of furniture. now that's painful.

just thinking: are you and your car okay?

kristi: i'm a forgetful klutz...i'm sure i walked into something, swore loudly, and then immediately forgot about the incident.

jamwall: you didn't read the special cautionary statements in the blogger clause before attempting to publish? you're lucky you didn't injure yourself more seriously.

I get the occasional severe pain in my right great toe, but it usually shows some discoloration and maybe a bit of swelling. It's
GOUT. If I catch it soon enough and do an aspirin or 2 a day it usually goes away in a couple of days. Sorry this might be part of your heritage. By the way, it's caused by certain things you really like to eat.

@ndre@: and what were you doing on the beach that late at night, young lady?

daddy: i'm pretty sure what i've inherited is klutziness, not gout.
