why do real work....

....when you can just keep hitting "next blog" instead?

here are a few offerings from my latest round of internet-assisted procrastination:

there was a "captain obvious" sighting over at hamstersphere recently. (i thought i was the only one who used that phrase....damn.)

agent chuckawucka

this. is. freaking. hilarious.

cindy phillips' journal

okay, boys......how many of you are intimidated by this? i take strange comfort in knowing even female bodybuilders have body issues.

on the garden wall.....confessions of a bad housewife

the title alone was enough to grab me....the post about the poor timing of her three year old made me stick around for a while.

where is carmen sandiego? (post on ghostwriters anonymous)

i am kicking myself for not thinking of this first.

queen of sass

i followed a link from a blog that was linked to some other blog and somehow wound up here.

(be sure you check that last one out- it's called- are you ready for this?- "say it don't spray it".)

while were at it, it seems someone else found me. (thanks for the link, joanne!)

in other diversions, i found this little toy over at rum and monkey.

since i'm currently craving tacos, i figured i'd see if maybe someone out there has enough free time to create some sort of "build your own taco" game. instead, i found this. (much as i love tacos, i didn't join.)

i found some other things, too, but, quite frankly, i was too scared to click on them.

speaking of other things....it's been awhile since i was last on blogthings. it seems they've added a few things, like this little treasure:

You Are a Glam Rocker!

You put the "show" in rock show with your larger than life self.
No doubt, you are all about making good music...
But what really gets you going is having an over the top show.
Glitter, costumes, and wild hair are your thing - with some rock thrown in!

hmmm...what are my other options? not that i'm not a fan of glam, but i'm in a punky mood today......

....or maybe just plain ol' classic rock.

okay- back to work....or more button clicking, more likely.

haha, im honoured you chose to make a link to me in your post.

tell ya what, duff, i'll submit my blog entries to you for preapproval from now on. that way, anything that's decent that you would have thought of, you can claim as your own and anything i write that sucks, i just post on mine.

this self destructive negotiation tactic has been brought to you by -nathan

dzesika: anyone familiar with "captain obvious" deserves at least a link here.

lab boy: actually, i was craving hard shell shredded beef tacos, but i settled for chicken nachos from moe's instead.

nathan: i'll swap you my less-than-stellar posts for your best pieces.

that sounds a little uneven. perhaps i should throw a gnome into the deal or something.....

i wish there was a decent taco place out here. Maryland's got nothing for mexican food compared to K.C. and Arizona.

sadly, there are no taco john's in maryland, d.c., or south carolina.

i mean, not that i checked earlier or anything.

I do most of my blog viewing and posting while at work. Once I start at home, it's usually well after the boy is in bed and I end up staying way too late. It's so addicting!

Well, hot damn! I'm once again able to access your blog. Do'nt know for how long, but it's nice while it lasts.

duff, although your trade sounds like a sweet deal, i prefer kidnapping and extortion as opposed to just being 'given' a gnome.

check out my movie idea and let me know what ya think:

im looking for producers, but, like carmen and cleaning companies, no one returns my calls.

OMG, I just had a spontaneous rap come to mind featuring "duff". It's too X-rated for here though. Crunk, tho'.
