this is something i've been meaning to do for a while, and stef seems to have found an easy way of doing it.
bold the states you've been to, underline the states you've lived in and italicize the state you're in now...
Alabama / Alaska / Arizona / Arkansas / California / Colorado / Connecticut / Delaware / Florida / Georgia / Hawaii / Idaho / Illinois / Indiana / Iowa / Kansas / Kentucky / Louisiana / Maine / Maryland / Massachusetts / Michigan / Minnesota / Mississippi / Missouri / Montana / Nebraska / Nevada / New Hampshire / New Jersey / New Mexico / New York / North Carolina / North Dakota / Ohio / Oklahoma / Oregon / Pennsylvania / Rhode Island / South Carolina / South Dakota / Tennessee / Texas / Utah / Vermont / Virginia / Washington / West Virginia / Wisconsin / Wyoming / Washington D.C. /
go here to have a form generate the html for you.
(if you feel being in an airport counts- which i don't- mentally embold (is that the word i want? i feel soooo jessica simpson- minus the boobs) texas, too.
i also found the map format i've been searching for while perusing poppy cede's blog recently:
create your own visited states map
in short, i inherited from my parents the belief that this is a big country, and life's too short to spend it entirely in one place.
how about you?

Wow, I need more time to do this stuff.
My list is quite a bit shorter. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee. A whopping seven states. Eight if you throw in Ontario.
maybe you should start working on provinces too. ;D
I'm at 15 states. I did the map and I'll through it up on the site later tonight (don't want to bury the baby photo meme).
And we definitely should count provinces, as eventually we're just going to annex Canada anyway...
By the way, have I mentioned yet how grateful I am for the cow picture?
That rules!
you've definitely been to more places than i have! I've spent some time (a whole weekend) in Calais, Maine about three years ago. I like Maine, and I wouldn't mind going back permanently.
larry: so...where's your liost? hmmmm?
digi: sounds like you need to get out more. when do you want to take a road trip?
freewriter: provinces? i've got provinces, dear- p.e.i., new brunswick, nova scotia, quebec, and (very briefly) manitoba. however, i couldn't find a map for the provinces. let me know if you come up with one.
kal: baby photo meme? crap- i need to come up with enough free time to visit everyone else's blog more frequently. my current schedule......well, it's a bit of a juggle. i'll check out the baby photo if i'm home early enough tonight, though.
digi, again: you can have all the cow pictures you want, dear. no boobs, though.
stef: thanks for letting me steal your list.
maine...oklahoma....maine...oklahoma...*thinking*
Okay, here goes: Alabama, Mississippi, Louisianna, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, New Mexico(very briefly), PENNSYLVANIA(lived there), MISSOURI(from there and reside there)
Wow, I'm over halfway to all fifty states. I really gotta start on Canada soon.
okay- so this has been up for how long? i just noticed on the list form that i accidentally checked off montana. scratch that- i haven't made it that far yet (though i have a standing invitation to visit.)
