gave in to the urge. since my hiking buddy moved 2 1/2 hours away, hot dog the gnomad was happy to accompany me on my 6.6 mile trek. here are some views from along the
oakridge trail:
i think i managed to tick off every spider along the trail, except for this one. thankfully, i'm short, and he'd constructed his web higher than most of the others.
there's nothing quite like stopping to take in the view....of mosquito breeding grounds. despite being covered pretty much head to toe in bug spray, i did not come away completely unscathed.

The pics are beautiful. But was somebody after you? Is that what made you hide out in the forest for a few hours? Next you'll be telling us you run when nobody's chasing you!
Hey I'm heading north to to get attacked by ticks and eat things I pull out of the lake, I'll try to remember to take some pics to post too. Later.
